The Playdough Test

We made some home made play dough, firstly to alleviate School Holiday boredom, but also to undertake our own Arlequin Hide play dough testing. We used this great no cook recipe below, and ended up with these awesome results. So much better than store bought!

NO COOK PLAYDOUGH!

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of salt
  • 2 tbs of cream of tartar
  • 1 tbs of oil
  • Food colouring
  • 1 cup of boiling water

Directions

Mix everything together, minus the boiling water in a large mixing bowl.

Add the boiling water and mix until combined. The food colouring will mix in better if added to the boiling water. But you can add it afterwards , if you want to make lots of colours. Stir and hand roll well until the mixture is well combined.

Then , you can also complete our Hide rug test!

Take Playdough, squish well into hide, we used one of our extra special Arlequin Hides, just to show how easy they are to care for.

You can see results below, we used a wet wipe to take any residue off.

Cowhide is such a fabulous choice for kids interiors, its stain resistant, lo allergen and play dough resistant!!
